What’s behind this door?

Are you sure you want to know?

The Mine is an exploration game and artwork that tells a vital and incendiary story exposing the human cost of ableism. Explore the abandoned basement finding interactive objects that expose sinister histories, disturbing traces of people long forgotten, and discover evidence of a fight against all odds.

Watch your torch battery. Don’t be left in the dark with ghosts.

The game and art piece present a viewpoint into disability discrimination and disabled peoples’ persecution. With reference to eugenics, benefit cuts, child murders, the impact of the pandemic and more, this is an opportunity for insight into a history and experience rarely discussed. The stories you uncover may be shocking and horrific, while others offer hope.
